$200,000 and $10,000 PowerBall® Winners in Rhode Island
Although no one won the $150 million PowerBall® jackpot in Saturday night’s drawing, Rhode Island still had two big wins. PowerBall® tickets worth $200,000 and $10,000 were sold for that drawing.
The $200,000 winning ticket matched all five numbers, but not the PowerBall® number. The two $10,000 winning tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. None of the players opted to purchase the PowerPlay® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the $200,000 winner used just one extra dollar, the $200,000 prize would have automatically been multiplied by five, winning $1,000,000! The $10,000 prizes would have been multiplied by three, Saturday’s PowerPlay® number, to equal $30,000, if those players paid the extra dollar for PowerPlay® as well.
Blackstone Wine & Spirits at 1179 Central Ave., Pawtucket, sold the $200,000 winning PowerBall® ticket. The $10,000 winning tickets were purchased at Stop & Shop at 1300 Ten Rod Rd., North Kingstown, and E Z Mart on Money Hill Road in Chepachet.
Wednesday’s estimated jackpot is $170 million.
