Big Winners on PowerBall®, Daily Numbers and Instant Tickets
Rhode Islanders have had some big lottery wins recently.
PowerBall® There was a $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold in Rhode Island for Saturday night’s drawing. The ticket matched the first four numbers, but not the PowerBall® number, for the standard payout of $10,000. The player did not purchase the PowerPlay® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by five, Saturday’s PowerPlay® number, to equal $50,000. The winning ticket was purchased from People’s Liquor Warehouse on Main Street in Ashaway, and is still unclaimed. Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $96 million.
Daily Numbers The November 2nd drawing brought in a lot of Daily Numbers winners with the winning number combination of 1 2 1 4. A Johnston woman claimed multiple tickets of straight and box bets to win a combined total of $34,988. She bought her tickets from AT Casali Liquors in Cranston and Stop & Shop on 11 Commerce Way in Johnston. Then, Paul Lemieux from Providence (photo attached) cashed in 2 separate $2 combo wagers, which came to $10,816. Cumberland Farms at 921 Cranston St., Cranston, sold him both winning tickets. Lastly, a Johnston woman claimed $10,000 after winning on two separate $1 straight bets. Those tickets were sold from Sun Food Mart on Hartford Avenue in Johnston.
Instant Games Rosa Botelho, Manville, (photo attached) came in with her son and daughter to claim a $10,000 prize from the Baseball Instant Game. She bought the ticket from Manville Market at 6 Main St., Manville, and plans pay bills with most of her winnings. In addition, her daughter’s birthday falls on Thanksgiving, so she’ll use the money to get her a nice present.
