Big Prizes Claimed for Instant Games, PowerBall®, and Daily Numbers
Rhode Island Lottery players keep on winning with four big prizes recently claimed.
An East Providence man claimed a $50,000 winning Jingle Bills Instant Ticket. He said the ticket was in his stocking Christmas morning, but didn’t get overly excited about it right away because he couldn’t believe it was real. The winning ticket was sold from the Rumford Market at 1246 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford.
A very grateful Johnston man claimed the $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket from the December 12 drawing. He was not only thankful for his big win, but also for being alive after his house was lost in an electrical fire just before Christmas. It’s no surprise he hasn’t been able to claim his prize before now. The winning ticket matched the first four numbers, but not the PowerBall® number, for the standard payout of $10,000. Three Ring Liquor on Plainfield Street in Providence sold the winning ticket.
Two big winners came in after winning on the lucky number 0 6 7 9 from January 9. One woman from Riverside cashed in four separate $.50 four-digit Daily Numbers wagers, winning $2,500 on each, and then an additional $.50 four-digit combo bet, which won $2,604, giving her a total of $12,604. She bought her winning tickets from Sonny’s Convenience on Willett Avenue in East Providence and said it was her mother’s number that she’s been playing for the past 19 years since her mother died. The other winner was a woman from East Providence who cashed in her winning ticket for $10,416 after playing a $2 four-digit combo bet. She purchased that ticket from the Mobil at 2336 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.
