Rhode Island Lottery Players Keep Winning “Money, Money, Money”
A Warwick woman and her son from Coventry claimed a $17,000 prize on the “Money, Money, Money” Instant Ticket. They said they bought that particular game because it was a new ticket to try. They plan on putting the money in the bank. The ticket was purchased from Stop & Shop on Tiogue Avenue in Coventry.
Another $17,000 prize was claimed, but this time it was won on Keno Plus. An 84-year-old Woonsocket woman claimed two tickets, winning $8,500 on each, for a total win of $17,000. The winner matched 9 out of 10 numbers and the 2 multiplier came up. She played two tickets because she couldn’t remember if she had placed her wager originally, so she went and bought another one with the same numbers that she randomly picked. She bought her tickets from AJ’s Mini Mart on Social Street in Woonsocket and said she likes to play Keno to pass the time. As of now, she has no plans for the money.
After the big Daily Numbers payout for the January 18 drawing, one winner cashed in a ticket worth $12,166. The Pawtucket woman played one $1 4-digit straight bet, one $1 4-digit combo bet and two $1 3-digit combo bets on the same ticket to win a total of $12,166. She said she played that lucky number, 1 9 1 9, because it’s her mother’s birthday. Cumberland Convenience Store on High Street in Cumberland sold the winning ticket.
