$21,000 Keno Plus & $10,000 PowerBall® Winners
A Westerly man cashed in a $21,000 Keno Plus ticket at the Lottery Validations office today. He played a one dollar wager and matched all eight of his numbers to win the standard payout of $10,500. However, he played an extra dollar for Keno Plus and a 2 multiplier came up, turning his prize into $21,000. The 7-Eleven on Post Road in Westerly sold the winning ticket.
A $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket was sold in Rhode Island for last night’s drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 4, last night’s Power Play® number, to equal $40,000.
The winning ticket was purchased from Elaine’s Country Store on Fish Road in Tiverton. The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.
Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $65 million.
