$125,211 Wild Money Jackpot Claimed By Johnston Man $10,000 PowerBall® Claimed
The $125,211 Wild Money jackpot was claimed by a man from Johnston and his wife who bought the lucky quick pick ticket from BD Mart at 1180 Atwood Ave., Johnston. The couple plans to use the money to pay off bills, like their car loan and mortgage. Then they’d like to give their seven children and thirteen grandchildren some money. The 74-year-old man says he’s going to continue to work because he’ll be bored if he retires. The Wild Money drawings take place three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, live on WPRI-TV at 7:29pm. Tuesday’s estimated Wild Money jackpot is $22,000.
In addition, the Lottery had a $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket claimed from last Wednesday’s drawing. A Tiverton woman came into the Lottery with her husband and they were so excited they couldn’t stop smiling and laughing. She said she had checked her ticket number at work and immediately called her husband crying. They just bought a new car and plan to put the money towards that. The winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. If she had played PowerPlay®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by four, the Power Play® number for that draw, increasing the prize to $40,000. She bought the winning ticket from Elaine’s Country Store at 1204 Fish Rd., Tiverton. Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $76 million.
