$125,211 Wild Money Jackpot Hit $10,000 PowerBall® Claimed
The jackpot for Rhode Island’s own progressive jackpot game, Wild Money, was hit last night making one lucky Rhode Island Lottery player $125,211 richer. The winning ticket was bought from BD Mart at 1180 Atwood Ave., Johnston. The prize has yet to be claimed. The Wild Money drawings take place three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, live on WPRI-TV at 7:29pm. Saturday’s estimated Wild Money jackpot is $20,000.
Furthermore, the Lottery had a big winner for PowerBall® come in already this morning. A Cranston man claimed the $10,000 PowerBall® prize from the December 23 drawing. The winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner said he usually purchases the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar, but this time he was in a rush and forgot. If he had played PowerPlay®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by four, the Power Play® number for that draw, increasing the prize to $40,000. Needless to say the winner was disappointed he didn’t win the $40 grand, but he said his mother told him to be grateful, and he is. He bought his winning ticket from Stop & Shop at 200 Atwood Ave., Cranston.
Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $65 million.
