$75,000 & $40,000 Instant Winners in Rhode Island $24,000 Wild Money Jackpot Claimed
Ross Ricciarelli, Wakefield, won $75,000 playing the Lucky Times 10 instant game. He said he likes to play the instant tickets that are in the five, ten or twenty dollar price points, which is why he played Lucky Times 10, a ten dollar game. Coincidentally, today was the six month anniversary of the day Ross’s father passed away, and it was his dad who always asked him why he didn’t just play the one dollar tickets. Ross plans to put the money in the bank and save it, but he might spend a little to go on vacation. The winning ticket was sold at Vallero Food Mart, 2949 Tower Hill Rd., Saunderstown.
Another player who enjoys the five dollar instant tickets won $40,000 on the Wizard of Oz Instant Game. The Kingston woman said she didn’t tell anyone she won after she scratched the winning ticket last night, but when she dropped her children off at school this morning, she told them that she’s taking them out for a special night tonight. She plans to put the money in savings accounts for her three children. Mobil Food Mart at 1892 Kingstown Rd., Peacedale, sold the winning ticket. The winning continued when a man from Little Compton claimed the $24,000 Wild Money jackpot hit last night. The winner joked with lottery staff that he was going to use the money to go out to lunch and buy himself a bologna sandwich. The winning ticket was purchased at East Lake Variety, Inc., at 750 East Rd., Tiverton.
