Two $10,000 Winning PowerBall® Tickets Claimed
Two $10,000 PowerBall® winning tickets have been claimed.
A Cranston woman came in to the Lottery Validations office to cash in her winning PowerBall® ticket from the drawing on February 23. She said her daughters bought her the winning ticket from Sharx Bar & Grill at 505 Atwood Ave., Cranston. She plans to use the money to pay bills.
Then a man from Fall River, Mass., claimed a $10,000 PowerBall® prize from the February 13 drawing. He’s using the money to go on vacation to Puerto Rico with his family. Stateline Tobacco at 29 Stafford Rd., Tiverton, sold the winning ticket.
Both of these winning tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. Had the winners opted to spend an additional $1 on their wager for the Power Play® feature, their prizes would have been increased to $30,000 and $40,000 based on the Power Play® number drawn for each respective drawing. Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $139 million.
