$10,000 Winning PowerBall® Tickets in Rhode Island
The $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket from the February 17 drawing was claimed at the end of the day on Friday by a Cranston woman. She had picked her own numbers for the winning combination based on the birthdates of her children and grandchildren. She said she plans to share the money with her family. Oaklawn Discount Liquors in Cranston sold the winning ticket.
Saturday night’s PowerBall® drawing produced another $10,000 winner. This winning ticket was purchased at Sam’s Food Store on Eddie Dowling Highway in Smithfield.
Both of these winning tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. Had the winners opted to spend an additional $1 on their wager for the Power Play® feature, their prizes would have been increased to $30,000 and $20,000 based on the Power Play® number drawn for each respective drawing.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $170 million.
