$200,000 PowerBall® Winner from Rhode Island
The weekend’s warm weather was enjoyed by all, especially for one Rhode Island Lottery player who won $200,000 on Saturday night’s PowerBall® drawing.
The winning ticket matched all five numbers, but not the PowerBall® number, for a standard payout of $200,000. The player did not opt to purchase the PowerPlay® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, his winnings would have been multiplied by five, no matter what PowerPlay® number was drawn, to equal $1,000,000.
The $200,000 winning PowerBall® ticket was purchased at Taunton Avenue Shell, 155 Taunton Ave., East Providence. It has yet to be claimed.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $43 million, and Tuesday’s estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $29 million.
