$10,000 Winning Mega Millions® Ticket Claimed

Another winning ticket from the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority was claimed! This time, a $10,000 Mega Millions® ticket was claimed today. Last month, there was also a $10,000 PowerBall® ticket sold there. A Providence woman came to the Rhode Island Lottery headquarters to cash in her winnings from the March 12, 2010 Mega Millions® drawing.

Her ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Megaplier® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Megaplier®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 3, the Megaplier® number from that draw, to equal $30,000.
