Keno Free Ride Jackpot Reaches a Record High Keno Plus Winner Wins $15,000 and $30,000 on Two Separate Tickets
The Keno Free Ride jackpot has reached a record high and continues to climb. As of 11:50 this morning, the jackpot was at $30,670. Since the Keno Free Ride promotion launched on March 9, 2008, the highest jackpot hit so far was for $27,161 on March 27, 2009. Players get their shot at winning the jackpot by playing a $2, $5, or $10 Keno base wager and getting a free set of quick pick numbers to match to the Keno numbers for that drawing.
There was even more Keno excitement at the Lottery Headquarters when a Cranston man claimed two separate Keno Plus tickets, both for the same drawing on April 7, 2010. He won $6,000 when he matched eight out of nine numbers on a two dollar base wager, but that prize was multiplied by five to equal $30,000 because he played the Plus multiplier. He bought a separate ticket with slightly different numbers for that same draw and won $3,000 on his $1 base wager, which turned into $15,000 thanks to the multiplier. Both tickets were purchased from Felipe’s Convenience on Hartford Avenue in Providence.
