Winners Galore!
A Warwick woman came into the Lottery Headquarters to claim what she thought was $1,000. To her surprise, she actually won $15,000 on the “Crossword 28” Instant Game! She was overwhelmed with tears in her eyes. She didn’t know how she could have missed that, and called her husband right away. The winning ticket was sold at Brady’s Liquor in Warwick.
This afternoon, Darlene Godin of North Kingstown, claimed $12,750 on Keno Plus. She matched 9 out of 10 numbers winning a standard payout of $4,250. She opted to play an additional $1 for Keno Plus and the 3 multiplier was revealed. “I have quite the hangover today!” she explained since she bought rounds of drinks for everyone at Gillian’s Ale House in North Kingstown, where she purchased the winning ticket. Buying the bar drinks and winning the Lottery were two items on her bucket list. She plans on fixing her car and getting some handy work done around the house. But, most importantly, she wants to take a trip.
A Cranston man also claimed his $10,832 Daily Numbers ticket. He did a $2 combination of his family’s birthdays. His winning numbers were 1, 4, 1, and 7 from Felipe’s Convenience in Providence. He plans on putting his winnings in savings.
Furthermore, a Lincoln woman cashed in a $10,000 winning Mega Millions® ticket that she purchased from Stop & Shop on George Washington Highway in Lincoln. She matched four numbers and the Mega Ball number, for the standard payout of $10,000. She did not purchase the Megaplier® for an extra dollar on her wager, but if she had, her prize would have been multiplied by four, to equal $40,000. Tomorrow’s estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $266 million!
