$10,000 Winning PowerBall® Ticket Claimed

The $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold in Rhode Island for Saturday night’s PowerBall® drawing was claimed first thing this morning by a Warwick resident. The man said he and his wife are moving back to Maine after having left there 40 years ago, so the money will come in handy when they buy all new appliances. The winning ticket was purchased from Dave’s Marketplace at 100 Division St., East Greenwich.

The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by two, Saturday’s Power Play® number, increasing the prize to $20,000.

Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $145 million.
