Power Ball® Power Play® 10X Extended as the Jackpot Hits $260 Million Plus 3 PowerBall® Winners in Saturday’s Drawing
The PowerBall® PowerPlay® 10X promotion giving Rhode Island Lottery players the chance to win 10 times their prizes has been extended! The promotion began April 29, and was scheduled to end on May 29. However, the 10 multiplier has not come up, so the promotion will be extended until it is drawn.
Players can opt in for the PowerPlay® feature for one additional dollar per one dollar PowerBall® wager. Normally, the PowerPlay® feature multiplies any non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4 or 5. However, with the 10X promotion extended, players still have the chance to win 10 times the cash, up to $2 million.
The PowerPlay® feature brought one Rhode Island Lottery player an extra $30,000 in Saturday’s drawing, when he won the standard payout of $10,000 and the 4 multiplier came up, turning the winnings into $40,000. Two other players won $10,000 when they matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, but did not select the PowerPlay® option. The $40,000 winning ticket was sold from North Main Shell on North Main Street in Providence. The $10,000 tickets were purchased at Viola’s Liquor Store on Wood Street in Bristol and Greenwich Liquor Store on South County Trail in East Greenwich. None of these prizes have been claimed.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $260 million.
