Winners, Winners, Winners
June started off with a bang for Rhode Island Lottery Players.
Instant Games A Riverside man came in to the Lottery to claim a $50,000 winning Diamond Mine Instant Ticket. He said he bought the ticket because it was in the Instant Ticket dispenser number 16, which is his lucky number. He then added that he also bought that one since it had diamonds on it and who doesn’t like diamonds. He and his wife just bought her mom’s house and plan to use the money to fix it up. They purchased the winning ticket from Sonny’s Convenience on Willett Avenue in East Providence.
PowerBall® Mirian Garcia, Providence, accompanied by her family (photo attached) claimed the $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket from the May 26 drawing. They have played the same numbers for the last 3 years based on birthdays, and this time they matched the first four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for the standard payout of $10,000. They plan to save some and spend some of their winnings. Elmwood Liquors on Elmwood Avenue in Providence sold the winning ticket.
Keno Free Ride The Keno Free Ride jackpot was hit last Friday and a Warwick woman claimed the $10,761 jackpot. She played a $10 Keno wager at Cheapskates on Warwick Avenue in Warwick and got a free set of six quick pick numbers which she matched to win the Keno Free Ride jackpot. The winner said she recently won a much smaller prize and spent the money spoiling herself, so this time she’ll use her winnings to pay bills and get new brakes for her car.
