Winning Streak for Keno Player
A North Smithfield man is on a Keno winning streak. He cashed in a $45,000 winning Keno ticket today after winning the Keno Free Ride jackpot last week for $4,881. He came to the Lottery with his wife to cash in his winning ticket. They said they plan to head straight to the jewelry store so she could get a necklace. They’re also giving each of their eight daughters $500.
The winner played a ten dollar seven spot bet and matched all seven numbers to win $45,000. Lindy’s Tavern on School Street in Forestdale sold the winning ticket.
There was also a happy $10,000 PowerBall® winner from the June 5 drawing that came in today. The woman from Leominster, Mass., also has plans for a shopping trip, as she wants to buy herself a Coach purse. After her purse purchase, she said she’ll use the money to pay bills and then save the rest.
She bought her ticket at the Korner Store on Broadway in Providence. She matched four numbers and the PowerBall®, winning the standard payout of $10,000. She did not play PowerPlay® for the extra dollar on her wager. If she had, her prize would have been multiplied by four, the PowerPlay® number for that draw, to equal $40,000.
The PowerPlay 10X promotion has ended after the 10 multiplier came up in Saturday night’s drawing. Two Rhode Island Lottery players won $1,000 after their $100 prize was multiplied by the 10 PowerPlay® number. 26 other Rhode Island Lottery players won $100, but did not select the PowerPlay® number, so they missed out on the extra $900.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $60 million.
