2 Big Wins Claimed Today
Miguel Relvinha of Cranston came into the Lottery Headquarters this morning with his $42,000 winning Keno Plus ticket. He won this past Saturday night while sharing drinks with friends at the VFW located on 850 Hope St., Bristol. He was screaming when he found out how much he won! His friends thought he was joking. He played a one dollar wager on an eight spot bet and matched all of his numbers (which he plays every time) to win $10,500. Since he played an extra dollar for Keno Plus, his winnings quadrupled, as the 4 multiplier was drawn. Miguel already hit $21,000 in the past and says one day he’ll catch the $100,000. He plans on using his winnings to pay bills and give some to his three daughters.
Then, later this afternoon, Brian Rondeau of Blackstone, Massachusetts, won $50,000 on the 5 Star Cash Instant Game. He bought the winning ticket at Woonsocket Express Convenience at 575 South Main St., Woonsocket; on his way to work. It was a long day at work to say the least. As soon as he got off, he went straight to the Lottery. He plans on putting the money towards college tuition for his daughter, due to be born in November.
