$40,000 PowerBall® PowerPlay® Ticket Claimed $30,000 Unclaimed Prize Set to Expire Next Week
The $40,000 winning PowerBall® PowerPlay® ticket sold in Rhode Island for Wednesday’s drawing has been claimed.
A Warwick resident cashed in his winning quick pick ticket and said he plans to use the money to pay bills. The ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven on West Shore Road in Warwick. It matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner selected the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager so his $10,000 prize was multiplied by four, Wednesday’s Power Play® number, increasing the prize to $40,000. While that PowerBall® PowerPlay® prize was claimed quickly after the drawing, time is almost up for a $30,000 PowerBall® PowerPlay® prize to be claimed. Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize, and the deadline for this $30,000 win is August 12. This ticket was purchased from Onasco Sunoco A-Plus on School Street in Pawtucket. In addition to the $30,000 prize, there is $260,000 worth of unclaimed high tier PowerBall® prizes in Rhode Island. If the prizes go unclaimed the full year they will be turned over to the State’s General Fund.
