Winners, Winners, Winners
September seems to be a winning month for Rhode Island Lottery players. For the first two days of the month, four high tier prizes have been claimed.
Instant Games The two $20 Instant Tickets have proved to be rewarding for players. Sean Givens, Warwick, (photo attached) claimed a $10,000 “Cash Spectacular” ticket. He purchased the winning ticket from 7-Eleven at 7330 Post Rd., North Kingstown, and plans to put the money towards his credit card.
The “Black Diamonds” Instant Ticket proves that diamonds aren’t just a girl’s best friend. The game has been out for less than ten days, and one of the 40 $20,000 top prizes was claimed today. Binod Dhital, Providence, picked up his check and said he’ll use the $20,000 to help pay for a friend’s education.
Daily Numbers The high payout in the Daily Numbers drawing on August 31 has brought in a lot of Daily Numbers winners. Two people in particular played multiple tickets, using the same number combination, 1 0 2 8, to win big. A man from West Warwick claimed a combined prize of $25,000 after cashing in 5 separate $1 4-digit straight bets. Those tickets were all sold from Sunny Hill Farm at 780 Hartford Ave., Johnston.
A Saunderstown woman won $10,000 total on 2 separate $1 4-digit straight bets. She played that lucky number because it was a license plate. Mobil Food Mart at 892 Kingstown Rd., Peace Dale, sold the winning tickets.
