Million Dollar Raffle is Back for the 3rd Year
The Rhode Island Lottery’s Million Dollar Raffle Game is back again. The $20 tickets go on sale, Friday, September 10, and this year, the game has some bonus features.
The prize structure has changed to allow for more winners, so the Grand Drawing scheduled for New Year’s Eve* will award prizes of $1,000,000; $10,000; $5,000; $1,000; and $500. In addition, the Early Bird Drawings, which will take place on October 8, October 29, November 19 and December 10, will be for $5,000 prizes. To be entered into the Early Bird Drawings and the Grand Drawing, players only need to purchase a Million Dollar Raffle Ticket. The earlier they buy their tickets, the more chances they’ll have to win.
After the New Year’s Eve drawing, players will be able to send in all of their 2010 non-winning Raffle tickets to the Rhode Island Lottery by January 21st for a 2nd chance drawing. Qualifiers will then be selected to go to Twin River, where everyone will receive a prize, and one person will play a game for the chance to win either $5,000; $10,000, $100,000 or $1,000,000.
The $5,000 Early Bird winning numbers will be announced at Twin River at 8pm on the nights of the drawings. The million dollar winning number will be announced on December 31st at Twin River at 11pm. Winners need not be present to win.
Like previous years, there are only 120,000 tickets available for sale, so the odds of winning $1 million are still the best in New England. More information on the Million Dollar Raffle and all of the winning numbers can be found at on our Raffle page.
*The Rhode Island Lottery reserves the right to change the drawing date with adequate advance public notice.
