Big Wins for Daily Numbers® Players

Rhode Island Lottery Daily Numbers® players cashed in big wins today.  There were two players claiming multiple tickets to get $18,956 and $20,000 worth of prizes.

A Cranston couple have been playing number, 2 7 7 6, for the last 35 years as it’s their daughter’s birthday and also the same day the wife’s father passed away. The number came up on September 10th and since the couple played 7 separate $1 4-digit combo wagers, they walked out of the Lottery with $18,956.  The couple has three daughters and plans to give each of them some money, and then save the rest for a time they might need it.  AT Casali Liquors on Cranston Street in Cranston sold the winning tickets. 

James Buckner (photo attached), North Providence, RI, is no stranger to winning big on the Daily Numbers.  He came in to pick up his $20,000 prize after playing 8 separate 50 cent 4-digit straight bets for the August 31st drawing.  Birthdays were his inspiration for picking the number combination he played for this drawing, which was 1 0 2 8.  He’s also won $30,000 and $50,000 before playing different number combinations. Two of his winning tickets for this most recent win were purchased at Amigos Market on Admiral Street in Providence, and the other six were bought at Solar Gas on Smith Street in North Providence.
