$10,000 PowerBall® Prize About to Expire
$1,854,009 Worth of High Tier Prizes Claimed in August
Someone may be about to throw away $10,000. One Rhode Island Lottery player bought a PowerBall® ticket for the September 23, 2009, drawing from Atwells Shell at 286 Valley St., Providence, and has yet to claim the prize. In addition to this $10,000 prize, there is another $250,000 worth of unclaimed high tier PowerBall® prizes in Rhode Island. Players have a year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize before it is turned over to the State’s General Fund. Archives for the past twelve months of drawings can be found on the Rhode Island Lottery's Website Winning Numbers page.
