Two $10,000 Winning PowerBall® Tickets Sold in Rhode Island
Last night’s PowerBall® drawing brought two Rhode Island Lottery players $10,000 each.
Both tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number for a standard payout of $10,000. Neither player opted to purchase the PowerPlay® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If they had, their $10,000 prizes would have been multiplied by five, last night’s PowerPlay® number, to equal $50,000.
A Portsmouth man came into the Lottery this morning to cash in one of the $10,000 winning tickets. He bought his ticket from Gleeson’s Package Store on West Main Road in Portsmouth. The other winning ticket was sold from Paul’s Shell on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston and has yet to be claimed.
Saturday’s estimated jackpot is $25 million.
