$50,000 and $10,000 Instant Game Winners

October is off to a good start with two big instant ticket winners.

A North Providence woman claimed the $50,000 top prize on Good as Gold, a Rhode Island Lottery Instant Game.  Immediately after she discovered how much she won, she called her daughter and son-in-law. They accompanied her to the Lottery today as she was too overwhelmed with excitement. She was absolutely speechless, but did manage to say she might just retire now. 

She purchased the $50,000 winning ticket from the Stop & Shop on Atwood Ave. in Cranston. This same store sold the winning Million Dollar Raffle Ticket last year.

Steven Huertas and his family also claimed $10,000 on Cash 7 Bingo, another Rhode Island Lottery Instant Game. They plan on using some of money towards a new car.

The ticket was purchased at A+S Variety on Elm Street in Woonsocket.
