Rhode Island’s Million Dollar Man Wins $85,000 on Keno Plus
Anthony Broccoli, the 2008 Million Dollar Raffle winner, came into the Lottery Headquarters to claim $85,000 on a Keno Plus win. He played a ten dollar Quick Pick wager and matched nine out of ten numbers to win the standard payout of $42,500. However, he played an extra dollar for Keno Plus and a 2 multiplier came up, turning his prize into $85,000. He plays nothing but Quick Picks when it comes to Keno, which usually turns out to be nothing but wins. Anthony played at Ribs & Company in Johnston over the weekend.
The Lottery’s Million Dollar Raffle Television commercials for this year feature the Broccoli Family and their true story about winning $1 Million in 2008. That video and more can be seen here. But the good luck hasn’t stopped there. Just a couple of months ago, he won $10,000 with a Royal Flush from the Video Lottery Terminal at Twin River – twice. He wins smaller amounts here and there too. He did mention not to forget that he does lose occasionally, and when that happens, he stops playing.
He’s already bought a number of Million Dollar Raffle tickets for this year, giving many away as gifts. “The first million was for the kids and the second million is for us,” Anthony stated in hopes to win another $1 Million in this year’s Raffle.
The second Million Dollar Raffle Early Bird Raffle drawing will be held this Friday at Twin River at 8p.m. If a Raffle purchase is made from Lottery Staff at the times listed below, patrons of the casino will also receive a separate Raffle ticket with their purchase to win Patriots VIP Tickets and PPAC Tickets:
