$1,000,000 PowerBall® Power Play® Winner in Rhode Island

One Rhode Island Lottery player is waking up today a millionaire.  Although the $95 million jackpot was hit in Arizona, this winner still won $1,000,000 in last night’s drawing.  The lucky ticket matched five numbers but not the PowerBall® number, winning the standard payout of $200,000.  However, this player added the Power Play® feature to the base wager for just one extra dollar, which automatically multiplied the $200,000 prize by five to equal $1,000,000.  Cumberland Shell at 4120 Mendon Rd., Cumberland, sold the winning $1,000,000 ticket.  The prize has not yet been claimed.

Saturday’s estimated jackpot is at $20 million.
