Rhode Island’s Mega Millions® Winners
Last night’s massive Mega Millions® drawing resulted in millions of big dreamers and some big winners in Rhode Island. Although the $355 million jackpot wasn’t hit here, two $40,000 winning tickets and two $10,000 winning tickets were sold.
Cumberland Farms on 125 Broadway in Newport and Cumberland Farms on 301 North Main Street in Slatersville sold the two $40,000 tickets. The tickets matched four numbers and the Mega Ball® number, for a $10,000 prize. Both winners selected the Megaplier® feature for an additional dollar on the wager so their $10,000 prize was multiplied by four, Tuesday’s Mega Ball® number, increasing the prize to $40,000.
A & J Seabra Supermarket on 2000 Mendon Rd. in Cumberland and Li’l General on 556 Central Avenue in Pawtucket sold the two $10,000 tickets. The tickets matched four numbers and the Mega Ball® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000.
All the winning tickets have yet to be claimed.
Tonight’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $34 million and Friday’s estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $12 million.
