$1,231,200 Worth of High Tier Prizes Claimed This Week
2011 has started off with a bang for Rhode Island Lottery players, paying out $1,231,200 this week alone.
Million Dollar Raffle In addition to the $1 million winner, Susan McKenna of North Providence, the Lottery had three $10,000 winning Million Dollar Raffle tickets claimed this week. There are still two more $10,000 winners out there. All of the Raffle’s winning numbers can be found here.
Instant Games A Fall River woman came in to the Lottery to claim a $50,000 prize from a winning $50,000 Riches Instant Ticket. She already booked a trip to Vegas. She purchased the winning ticket from Crossroads Wine & Spirits on Bulgarmarsh Rd. in Tiverton. Additionally, a man and wife from Pawtucket claimed a $65,000 winning 10X The Cash Instant Ticket. They plan on paying off some bills and taking a cruise. The ticket was sold from Sunshine Laundromat on Division St. in Pawtucket.
Numbers A North Providence man claimed two $5,000 winning Numbers tickets from the December 19 drawing. Chubbys Bar & Grill in North Providence sold the winning tickets.
Keno At the Shaw’s in North Providence, a man from Wyoming, RI claimed 13 Keno tickets totaling $16,200.
PowerBall® Michael Mesolella of North Providence claimed a winning $10,000 PowerBall® ticket from the January 1 drawing. He plans on paying some bills, giving some to his kids and some to his church. The winning ticket was also purchased at the Shaw’s in North Providence.
Mega Millions® A woman from Pascoag claimed a winning $40,000 Mega Millions® Megaplier® ticket from the January 4th $380 million dollar drawing. She doesn’t know what she’ll do with her winnings yet, as she didn’t even know she won that much. She does plan on having a martini though to celebrate. The ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms in Slatersville. Additionally, a woman from Providence claimed a winning $10,000 Mega Millions® ticket from the same drawing. The ticket was purchased at Li’l General in Pawtucket.
