January Lucky Rhode Island Lottery Retailers
Broadway Mart & Crossroads Wine & Spirits
Broadway Mart on South Broadway in East Providence and Crossroads Wine & Spirits on Bulgarmarsh Road in Tiverton seem to be the stores to go to for lucky Rhode Island Lottery tickets. Both stores have sold two high tier winning tickets in less than one month.
Broadway Mart sold a $10,000 winning Barrel of Bucks instant ticket that was claimed yesterday afternoon by a woman from East Providence. The same store sold a $10,000 winning Mega Millions® ticket for the drawing on January 11 that was claimed on the 13th by an East Providence man.
Crossroads Wine & Spirits lucky streak began on January 4 when they sold a $50,000 winning instant ticket. A Fall River man cashed in on that big win. Furthermore, a $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket was sold from Crossroads Wine & Spirits for the January 8th drawing, which was claimed by a woman from Tiverton yesterday.
The luck didn’t just strike players in those stores, as there were two other big winners that cashed in yesterday. One Providence woman won $12,500 on the Daily Numbers game. She had 4 winning tickets – 2 were $1 wagers on 4-digit straight bets and 2 were $1 wagers on 4-digit box bets. She normally only plays one of each type of wager using the winning number combination, 7 0 7 7, but had forgotten that she played her numbers in the morning on January 13, so that afternoon she bought her tickets again. Rite Aid at 1200 North Main Street in Providence sold those winning tickets.
There was also a Keno Free Ride winner that hit the jackpot for $9,292. The North Providence man was playing at Bailey’s Pub & Grille in North Providence when he matched all of his Free Ride numbers to win the pot.
