$10,000 Mega Millions® Winner in Rhode Island

One Rhode Island Lottery player started the weekend off on a high note when the Mega Millions drawing on Friday night resulted in a $10,000 winner.  The ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball number.  The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000.  The winner did not purchase the Megaplier® feature for an additional dollar on the wager.  If the player had opted for the Megaplier®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 4, Friday night’s Megaplier® number, to equal $40,000.

The winning ticket was purchased from Broad Street Shell Mini Mart at 957 Broad St., Central Falls.  The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.

Friday’s estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $51 million.
