$10,000 Winning PowerBall® Ticket Claimed

The $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold in Rhode Island for last Wednesday PowerBall® drawing was claimed by a young woman from Pawtucket.

The winner had her daughter with her, who was almost two years old.  She was unsure of what she would do with the money, but said she was thinking of getting her daughter a puppy.

The winning quick pick ticket was purchased from Woodlawn Mobil at 168 Lonsdale Ave., Pawtucket.

The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize.  The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager.  If she had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by four, the Power Play® number for that draw, increasing the prize to $40,000. 

Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $25 million.
