2 Big Winners Start the Week off Right

It was an excellent Monday for two lucky Rhode Islanders.  A woman from Newport claimed 5 Daily Numbers Tickets from the drawing on August 15, for a total win of $52,080.
She has been playing the 4-digit number, 3 6 8 5, for many years, with no special significance – just a set of numbers that have been her head all this time. Now, she plans on doing some repairs around her house and putting the rest in the bank.  All of the tickets were sold from Bucci Combination Store on 1 & 3 Thames St. in Newport.

Additionally, there was a $10,000 “Double Play” Instant Ticket claimed by Tanisha Bliss of Providence. She decided to purchase the $2 Instant Ticket at the 7-Eleven on 391 Douglas Avenue in Providence on her daughter’s birthday.

She doesn’t know yet what she will do with her winnings, but is heading straight to the bank.
