$10,000 Winning PowerBall® Ticket Claimed

A North Providence man claimed the $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket from the August 29 drawing.  He said the win came at the right time since he just put a new roof on his house and he has two children going to college this year. 

He bought the winning quick pick ticket at Mozzarella’s Italian Grill.  He said he goes there every Thursday for dinner, checks his tickets, and picks up more for the next week.

The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize.  The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager.  If he had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by five, the Power Play® number for that draw, increasing the prize to $50,000.

Tonight’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $107 million.
