$10,000 PowerBall® Ticket Just Claimed
The winner of the $10,000 PowerBall® ticket from last night’s drawing didn’t wait long to claim his prize once he discovered he was a winner. The Riverside man came in to the Lottery with his wife and granddaughter to claim his prize. He doesn’t plan to keep any money for himself as he’s going to set up college savings funds for his two granddaughters who are 2 and 3 years old.
The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number for last night’s drawing. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by four, last night’s Power Play® number, to equal $40,000.
The winning ticket was purchased from Cumberland Farms at 2812 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence.
