$1,000,000 PowerBall® Power Play® Winner in Rhode Island

One Rhode Island Lottery player became a  millionaire this weekend.  The player didn’t hit the $30 million jackpot but did win $1,000,000 in Saturday night’s PowerBall® drawing.  The lucky ticket matched five numbers but not the PowerBall® number, winning the standard payout of $200,000.  However, this player added the Power Play® feature to the base wager for just one extra dollar, which automatically multiplied the $200,000 prize by five to equal $1,000,000.  Hess Express at 1190 Main Rd., Richmond, sold the winning $1,000,000 ticket.  The prize has not yet been claimed.

Wednesday’s estimated jackpot is at $37 million.
