$200,000 and $10,000 PowerBall® Winners in Rhode Island $12,750 Keno Plus Ticket Claimed
Rhode Island had two big wins in Saturday night’s PowerBall® drawing with tickets worth $200,000 and $10,000 sold.
The $200,000 winning ticket matched all five numbers, but not the PowerBall® number. The $10,000 winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. Neither player opted to purchase the PowerPlay® feature for an additional dollar on the wager, which would have multiplied their winnings to equal, $1,000,000 or $30,000 respectively.
East Street Liquors in Pawtucket sold the $200,000 winning PowerBall® ticket. The $10,000 winning ticket was purchased at Tropical Liquors on Cranston Street in Providence.
Wednesday’s estimated jackpot is $58 million.
A couple from Maryland was visiting family over the weekend and stopped at New Way Liquors on Elmwood Avenue in Providence where they bought a Keno ticket. They played 10 numbers, using their ages and the ages of their five children and matched 9 out of those 10 numbers. The standard payout for that type of win is $4,250, but they doubled their wager and added the Keno Plus feature to their bet, which multiplied their prize by 3 for that draw, to equal $12,750. The winners plan to put some money towards their mortgage and fixing up their truck. They also want to buy some presents for their children, including laptops for the ones in college.
