$22,000 Winning Wild Money Ticket Claimed $10,000 PowerBall® Claimed
The $22,000 jackpot hit in the June 28th Wild Money drawing was claimed by a 31-year-old woman from Hope, RI. The winner joked that she might use her winnings to go to Disney World. Cumberland Farms at 704 Main St., West Warwick, sold the winning ticket.
The Wild Money drawings take place three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, live on WPRI-TV at 7:29pm. Saturday night’s estimated jackpot is $22,000.
The $10,000 PowerBall® winner from Wednesday night’s drawing wasn’t going to wait months to claim his prize. The East Providence man came to the Lottery today with a few friends to get his winnings. He said he never usually plays, but his brother was buying some tickets so he decided to as well. Now he says, “It was the best dollar he ever spent!” Of course he plans to give his brother a little something and maybe take his friends out too, but other than that he has no plans for the money yet.
Hess Express on Plainfield Pike, Johnston, sold the winning Quick Pick ticket. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by three, that draw’s Power Play® number, increasing the prize to $30,000.
Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $105 million.
