Two $20,000 “Black Diamonds” Winners in Two Days Plus a $40,000 Instant Ticket Winner & $25,000 Daily Numbers Win
A West Warwick woman won $20,000 on the “Black Diamonds” Instant Ticket she purchased at Clyde Extra Mart in West Warwick. This is the second $20,000 win from that ticket this week, and is also her second Lottery win. Fifteen years ago, she won $100,000 on a PowerBall® ticket. All that money went towards helping her disabled husband. This time, however, she plans on treating herself to something special. There are still 15 unclaimed top prizes in this game.
Additionally, Angela Olivieri of Elmsford, New York, won $40,000 on the “$40,000 Cash” Instant Ticket. Angela purchased the ticket at Cumberland Farms on Granite Street in Westerly while she and her family were staying at their second home, also in Westerly. She and her husband plan on taking their children on a two-week tour in Italy.
A Warwick man came to the Lottery this afternoon with his friend to cash in a $25,000 winning Daily Numbers ticket from the August 29 drawing. Apparently he started playing the lucky number combination 0 9 8 3 after his friend won on that number a few years ago. The winner plans to save the money for now. Iggy’s Food Mart on Market Street in Warren sold the winning ticket.
