$200,000 Winning PowerBall® Ticket Claimed Plus $35,000 Instant Ticket, $10,000 PowerBall® and $10,000 Daily Numbers Prizes Claimed
The $200,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold in Rhode Island for the drawing on October 22 has been claimed.
Roland Harel of Coventry came in to the Rhode Island Lottery validations office this morning with his wife and daughter to claim his winnings. They purchased the ticket at Richard's Pub in East Greenwich, where they go out to dinner every Friday night. There was a lot of screaming and jumping when they found out how much they won. Although they couldn't bring to words what they plan on doing with the money, they did mention they would go to Florida as their niece is getting married there. And, they are definitely going to Richard's Pub tonight!
A Cranston gentleman claimed a winning $35,000 "Imperial Riches" Instant Ticket he purchased at A T Casali Liquors in Cranston. He will use some of his winnings to help his parents with their medical bills.
The $10,000 PowerBall® winner from the October 26 drawing has also claimed his prize. The lucky Warwick man purchased his ticketfrom Buttonwoods One Stop in Warwick and plans to use themoney for Christmas presents.
To top it off, Ramon Santos of New Bedford, claimed a winning $10,000 Daily Numbers ticket from last night's drawing. Ramon purchased the ticket at Esperanza Express in Providence and played $2 on a 4-digit straight. The winning combination was 8 7 5 5, and he's very happy that he can pay off some bills.
Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $203 million.
