$40,000 PowerBall® Power Play® Winner in Rhode Island

The $254 million PowerBall® jackpot was hit in the neighboring state, Connecticut, but Rhode Island players didn’t walk away empty handed.  There was one $40,000 winner and more than 17,500 players that won prizes ranging from $4 to $400!

The $40,000 winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a standard payout of $10,000.  The winner opted to play Power Play® for an extra dollar on the wager, which multiplied the $10,000 prize by four, last night’s Power Play® number, to equal $40,000. 

Shop N’ Go at 253 Greenville Ave., Johnston, sold the winning ticket.  The prize has yet to be claimed. 

Saturday’s estimated jackpot is at $20 million.
