Group of 6 Claims $45,000 on Keno Plus $10,000 PowerBall® & $10,000 Million Dollar Raffle Tickets Claimed
Picasso's Pizza & Pub in Warwick saw a lot of excitement Friday night when a group of six* family and friends started screaming and jumping up and down after they won $45,000 on Keno Plus. The group consisted of primarily Warwick residents who were out to dinner Friday night. One of the winners usually plays Keno, so when she went to fill out a bet slip, the rest of her friends said they each wanted to pick a number and then would collectively pick the last number. Their ticket matched all seven numbers, winning the standard payout of $4,500. They also doubled their $1 wager to include the Keno Plus option, which certainly paid off when the 10 multiplier came up, increasing their prize to $45,000. Each of the winners has different plans for the money, including paying bills and taking trips!
Another big win was the $10,000 PowerBall® ticket from Saturday night’s drawing that has been claimed. The Bristol man bought his winning ticket from Ammouri's Gas & Food Mart on Main Street in Warren.
The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number for Saturday's drawing. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by five, Saturday's Power Play® number, to equal $50,000.
One of the five $10,000 Million Dollar Raffle prizes from the Grand Drawing on New Year's Eve was claimed by a woman from East Providence. Lakewood Liquors on Warwick Avenue in Warwick sold the winning ticket.
