$50,000 PowerBall® Ticket Claimed Red Sox® Spring Training™ Trip for 2
A $50,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold in Rhode Island from the October 8, 2011 drawing has been claimed.
A North Kingstown resident cashed in his winning ticket and said he was waiting on the right time to cash it in and plans on using it towards tuition for his twin sons. One goes to the University of Rhode Island and the other attends the Community College of Rhode Island. The ticket was purchased at the Cumberland Farms on Post Road in Warwick. Additionally, a happy couple claimed their Red Sox® Spring Training™ Trip today. Louise Serra, of Rumford, enters all the non-winning tickets on www.RILOT.com, while her husband buys them. Works out nicely! She entered just a few non-winning Red Sox® Instant Tickets and was shocked that one of them was drawn out of 36,526!
Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $200 million.
