$40,000 Mega Millions® Winner in Rhode Island

One lucky Rhode Island Lottery player won $40,000 playing Mega Millions® for Friday night's drawing. 

The winning ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball number, for a standard payout of $10,000.  The player opted to purchase the Megaplier® for an extra dollar on the wager, which multiplied the $10,000 prize by four, Friday night’s Megaplier® number, to equal $40,000.  The prize has not been claimed.

Cumberland Farms at 353 Waterman Ave., Smithfield, sold the winning ticket.

Tuesday's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is at $32 million. Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $250 million.
