RHODE ISLAND TO LAUNCH NEW MULTI-STATE DRAW GAME WITH OTHER NEW ENGLAND LOTTERIES
“Lucky for Life” offers the chance to win up to $1,000 a day, every day, for a lifetime; Ticket sales begin March 11th with first drawing on March 15th
Rhode Island Lottery is introducing a multi-state draw game in conjunction with the five other New England Lotteries that offers players the opportunity to win a prize of a lifetime -- up to $1,000 a day, every day, for their entire life.
Lucky for Life will launch mid-March in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Ticket sales for the twice-weekly game begin on Sunday, March 11th with the first drawing taking place on Thursday, March 15th. Drawings will be conducted every Monday and Thursday at 10:38pm in Connecticut. Results will be posted and drawings can be viewed on www.rilot.com following the drawing.
Lucky for Life is the first multi-state lottery offering to be played in all six New England states. The directors of each lottery are looking forward to the new game’s launch and the excitement that it will not only create in their respective states, but throughout the region.
“This game launch brings about some great milestones for the Rhode Island Lottery and by offering the game collectively, it allows for a greater top prize," said Gerald Aubin, Rhode Island Lottery Director. "The 'for life' aspect offers a longer running payout period than players are used to experiencing and seeing, so it's going to be very appealing to all Rhode Islanders."
There will be 10 total ways to win playing Lucky for Life. Players must select five (5) numbers out a field of 40, and one (1) Lucky Ball number out of a field of 21. Those matching all six numbers drawn will win the game’s $1,000 a day for life top prize which will be guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years, but will continue to be paid out for the duration of each winner’s lifetime -- so winners who live long lives, will win more!
In addition to its extraordinary top prize, Lucky for Life will also feature a $25,000 second prize for matching the first five numbers, but not the Lucky Ball number, as well as other exciting cash prizes ranging from $2,000 to $2.
Each Lucky for Life ticket will cost $2 and will be sold at all Rhode Island Lottery Retailers.
