$336.4 Million PowerBall® Jackpot Claimed

The 3rd largest PowerBall® jackpot in the history of the game, $336.4 million, and the largest jackpot ever won in Rhode Island, has been claimed in the name of The Rainbow Sherbert Trust. 

The winner has elected to take the cash option, so she will receive the lump sum payment of a record $210 million, the highest cash option payout ever for PowerBall®.  The winning ticket was sold from Stop & Shop at 250 Bellevue Avenue, Newport.  It was a $9 wager with three Quick Pick numbers on it and the PowerPlay® option selected.  The winning numbers for the February 11 drawing was 1, 10, 37, 52, 57, and the PowerBall® number was 11. 

This jackpot win was the first since the newly revamped $2 version of the game debuted January 15, 2012. 

The state of Rhode Island will also benefit greatly from this big win, receiving an estimated lump sum tax payment of $14,700,000.
