Jackpot Games On a Roll! $90,869 Wild Money Jackpot Hit & Mega Millions® Jackpot Jumps to $290 Million for Friday's Drawing
The jackpot for Rhode Island’s own progressive jackpot game, Wild Money, was hit last night for $90,869.
The winning ticket was bought from Stop & Shop at 850 Manton Ave., Providence. No one has claimed the winning ticket yet.
The Wild Money jackpot for Thursday's drawing is back to the starting amount of $20,000.
The Mega Millions® jackpot continues to grow with the most recent jump from $241 million to $290 million, making it the 8th largest Mega Millions® jackpot ever.
There have been 16 consecutive draws without a jackpot winner since the current run started on January 27, 2012.
If the jackpot gets hit on Friday and the winner chooses the annuity option, the $290 million jackpot will be paid over 26 years. If the winner chooses the cash option, the lump sum payment is estimated at $205.5 million.
All players should sign the back of their tickets immediately upon purchase so no one else can wrongfully claim their prize.
In addition to the rapidly growing jackpot, the subsidiary prizes, ranging up to $250,000, have many players opting for the Megaplier® feature, which for an extra $1 per wager, can multiply the prize amount to up to $1,000,000. In Rhode Island, there were 23 winning Mega Millions® Megaplier® tickets sold that won $600 after either matching three numbers and the Megaplier number or just four numbers.
