$30,000 & $10,000 Mega Millions® Tickets Claimed
Two out of three of the big Rhode Island winners from Friday night's drawing have come forward.
The $30,000 winning ticket was claimed by a man from Coventry who picked the lucky numbers based on birthdates, anniversary date, and how long he and his wife have been together. He matched four out of five numbers and the Mega Ball number for a standard payout of $10,000. But, he also added an extra dollar on his wager for the Megaplier® feature which increased his $10,000 prize by 3, Friday's Megaplier® number, to equal $30,000. The Stop & Shop on Tiogue Avenue in Coventry sold the winning ticket.
The $10,000 winning ticket from Friday was also claimed this morning by Joseph Cho of Providence (photo attached). He plans to share the winnings with his friends, family and coworkers. His ticket also matched four numbers and the Mega Ball number for the $10,000 prize. He did not opt to play the Megaplier®. That winning ticket was purchased at East Greenwich Farms on Main Street in East Greenwich.
The $250,000 winning ticket from the March 30th drawing still remains unclaimed.
Tuesday’s estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is at $12 million.
