$22,000 Winning Wild Money Ticket Claimed $10,000 PowerBall® Claimed
The $22,000 jackpot hit in the June 17th Wild Money drawing was claimed yesterday by a Coventry woman. The winner said she's been playing the number since she won years ago with that same number on Keno. Veterans Market at 182 Arnold Rd., Coventry, sold the winning ticket.
The Wild Money drawings take place three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, live on WPRI-TV at 7:29pm. Tonight’s estimated jackpot is $20,000.
The $10,000 PowerBall® winner from Wednesday night’s drawing didn't wait long to claim his prize either. The man from Harrisville came in yesterday afternoon with his family to claim his prize. He plans to use the money to pay bills and celebrate at Outback Steakhouse. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have increased to $40,000. Country Farms at 138 Main St., Pascoag, sold the winning ticket.
Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $110 million.
These two afternoon wins made for a total of four prizes claimed yesterday that were $10,000 and higher, totaling $71,170 in high tier prizes paid out yesterday alone.
